Simple Joys Earrings

Simple Joys is a small cute store that sells cute and trendy accessories and other trinkets. Usually located beside Regalong Pambahay outlets.

They sell earrings, necklaces, headbands, pouches, beads, strings, hairclips, turbans, mirror, accessory holder and more! Most of their stuff are very affordable too!

Here are some of the accessories I've bought from the store:

They're just about P100 each. I'll definitely visit the store again and look for more cutie stuff. I'm actually eyeing on the black turban and the floral headband I saw yesterday at SM Megamall.

Etude Time: Be my Valentine Event Day 1

I was one of the event facilitators for Etude Time: Be my Valentine last Feb. 12, 2011 at SM North Edsa, The Block. It was fun giving out free balloons, cotton candies, and printed photos during the event.

Although not a fan, I was able to take a picture with the Lee Min Ho standee. Haha. Here are some more photos from the event:

Event poster from the store.

Full of pretty balloons at the back of the store.

The makeup artists of Etude House from Korea holding cotton candies. There were also Korean interpreters who helped the makeup artists explain the use of the products.

We gave a  free balloon and cotton candy for every purchase, plus a free makeover with korean makeup artists for every P1000 single purchase. The makeover started from 1pm to 8pm. I also took pictures of the customers who availed the free makeover.

Etude House: MINISIZE U Product Review

I've always wanted tighter and smaller pores since large pores tends to make my skin looks oily and dirty. Oil forms makeup blots on my face which I find ugly. I am half Filipino and half Chinese but unfortunately, I didn't get the perfect Asian genes.

I tried many pore tightening products before but none of those gave good effects on my skin. Most of the time, I get breakouts! So I tried Mini Size U product line from Etude House. I got the trial set from their Grand Launch last year.

It includes Minisize U Massage Peeling Pack, Pore Smoother Serum, Pore Powder Toner, and Pore Control Emulsion. The product line contains fermented rice wine, which is proven to enhance the look of the skin (kojic acid).

The Massage Peeling Pack eliminates dead skin cells. It promotes skin renewal. In a circular motion, massage a small amount on your face and you'll see the residues forming after it.

Next is the Pore Powder Toner, which is my favorite. I even bought the big bottle last week for only P478.00

Shake the bottle before you damp on a cotton. It absorbs oil and leaves a powdery skin after use! Then I use Pore Control Emulsion for morning, which acts as a light moisturizer, and the Pore Smoother Serum at night. I noticed that my skin is now bright and smoother! There are no dramatic improvements with the pore size but at least my skin is now less oily. With consistent use, I'm expecting to have a flawless, perfect Asian skin!

Stamp me vintage.

Im loving printed leggings lately. Haha. Didn’t know lace x printed leggings will rock together :)

Field trip!

Yey! We joined Adi's 1st family field trip last January 28, 2011. Woohoo! Our destination is at Subic, Pampanga. Our first stop: San Guillermo Church, Bacolor Pampanga.

This is one of the oldest and biggest church in the Philippines. Years back, it was destroyed by an earthquake and lahar from Mt. Pinatubo when it erupted. The lahar buried the church by 12 meters high.

Adi's class picture

Our next stop is at Magellan's Maritime Museum

And of course, Ocean Adventure!!!

First show was The Adventures of Olongapo Jones. This is the newest act at Ocean Adventure. This show is full of energy and acrobats! It's about Olongapo Jones'search for the Bouncing Basura Boys with the help of his Eco-Ranger friends Pawee (Turtle) and Leila (Dolphin).

I must say that this show is the best of all. They didn't use any animals for the act but they delivered it well with full of learning and excitement. Here's a photo when Olongapo Jones and his friends caught the Bouncing Basura Boys:

And a photo of this cute little shy guy while Olongapo Jones was trying to interview him:

Next is the Sea Lion Show..

Poor Kai, the senior sea lion in Ocean Adventure, where at his age, is still performing tricks for the show. He has some scratches at the back. I think he needs a rest.

Next is the Dolphin Show:

This show gives information and conservation message about the dolphins but after watching this, I thought, "They should be returned to the ocean." The people are enjoying the show but I don't think the dolphins do.

They look like they're having fun but they should be brought back to the ocean, play freely and live their lives the way they should be.

Next is the Wild Side Show where they taught the people how to live in the forest. I was really amazed with the Aeta on how he created fire from bamboos in less than a minute!

And lastly, the Ocean Discovery Aquarium:

Almost the same with Manila Ocean Park hehe. That's all! We all had fun and sulit bonding moment. :)
