There I Shoot

Weee~~ I cannot tell you about the story yet but I am so excited for this. :> So basically, we had a fun but tiring shoot yesterday.

Sheer loose top: Forever 21
Inner Top: Malaysia
Bangles: SM Accessories
Connector Ring: Forever 21

Yay~ I was wearing a loose blouse and jeans for this shoot since I was expecting a lot of bending and thumbling around the place. As you can see, I was holding Eton's cam, not mine XD I sarreh! More shoots to come~

What's on my table: 4U2 Mascara

Exreme 4U2 Eyelash Mascara

I had a meeting today and I ran out off of my mascara so I rushes to Watson's to buy a new one. It was available in brown black and dark black. I chose. the dark black for my eyes. It comes in a black handy tube and has a easy to use applicator.

It gives a good and natural lengthening effect and I was really amazed that it did not smudge much after a long and tiring shoot we had this afternoon! My eyes touch the lcd of my cam most of the time but I did not have any problems with it. After 6 hours, there was a little smudging at the corner of my eye but it was totally forgivable since I perspired a lot and was really haggard after the shoot. I guess this product will work well in a cold and well ventilated place.

It was easy to remove with my makeup remover too and rinsed the remaining residues with warm water without any mess. I'm keeping this in my beauty kit :)

White, accessorised: Barbara Palvin

Sheer fabrics will surely reign this season! Just take a look at this shoot starring Barbara Palvin and decide if face masks is a YAY or NAY in fashion. A combination of transparent fabric and perforated leather is just as striking a mix as a white top (daringly worn as a dress) paired with Prada’s hotrod heels. Capping it off is to-die-for hair and makeup.

What's on my table? NIVEA Deep Pore Control

Nivea Visage Deep Pore Control Cleansing Foam

For the past few months I'd been getting a lot of breakouts on my forehead due to stress at work (which I already dumped). I noticed, after a month of use of NIVEA Visage Deep Pore Control Cleansing Foam, my skin has dramatically improved.

Back view of the product:

It's creamy white and foams up easily on the whole face with only a pea-sized amount.

What I like about this product is it's really affordable, alcohol-free and scent-free! It thoroughly washes away the dirt and shiny oil from my face, leaving it with the very comfortable fresh, smooth and clean feeling. My skin got better and the blackheads on my nose lessened. Oil build-up on my face also diminishes. Actually, my skin would not get oily hours after using it.

This product is only P180 and I recommend it to my readers especially for those who have oily skin.

Overdressed for the Supermarket

Hey not a bad idea! There were times that you have to attend an event and drop by the supermarket to buy candy or something to drink on the way. You know you’re overdressed and people will start to look on you, but there’s something oddly liberating about click-clacking around in your high heels. You can pretend you dressed up, set your hair and applied your best lipstick just to do your grocery shopping.

Take a look at Constance Jablonski's way of Fashionable Grocery Shopping for Vogue Mexico February 2012:

It's all about this season's prints but against the mundane setting of grocery store shelves with the vegetables and canned goods in the background.

It’s an everyday life setting witha dreamy 60's style that made Constance creation stand out more.  I think the florals and animal prints went well on this, what do you think?

What's on my table? Covergirl & Olay Foundation

Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Foundation

Covergirl is one of my most favorite cosmetics in the market simply because it's really effective and the price is very affordable. I would like to share with you this product with a breakthrough formula of Olay Regenerist Serum and SPF 22. I had a hard time opening this container XD after a few minutes I was able to get the unscrewing trick! You have to press down and turn. Or just bang it on the wall! Hahaha just kidding! but I was about to do that.

Here's what it looks like after magically opening the product. The white swirl definitely will not make any difference with the color of the foundation. Same goes with their concealer. How amazing is that.

I chose one shade darker than my skin tone. It glides smoothly on your skin and easy to blend with a sponge or even with your fingertips. I guess using your fingertips is better to control the amount of cream to be applied. You need to blend it perfectly with light pressure. To get a softer more sheer finish, dampen a sponge with water before applying.

In my own honest opinion, this product is only good for heavy makeup application. Maybe for an event or a photoshoot. I guess the thickness is not good for everyday use. It makes my skin glow and radiant (cause I have pale skin) but it doesn't reduce the appearance of fine lines.

I use it since it's a perfect match with the Covergirl & Olay concealer I've bought before but definitely not applying a lot since I still want the near-to-no-makeup-look. To give a perfect porcelain look, finish it of with a compact powder. People tend to forget that. ;)

OH MY! Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam

So awhile ago, I was at the mall looking for more amazing cosmetics. Well, actually I am looking for alternative brands for the cosmetics I used everyday.  I learned a lot today from the beauty consultants, luckily. I've checked James Cooper, Tony Moly, Kokuryu, Fashion21, Careline, Revlon, Covergirl, Loreal,Fanny Serrano, In2it, and a lot more. I dunno how and why, but I missed this product at the Revlon booth! Or maybe this item is not yet available in our country... It's Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam!

Wai! Wai! I wanna try this product soon!

Dream Nude Airfoam~! The most lightweight foundation for 100% Nude Perfection that leaves a matte finish.

Lightweight foam foundation releases refined pigments pre-dispersed in air for effortless application and 100% nude perfection.

Omg it's gorgeous! So, who among you girls, have tried this product already? Please leave your comments! :D

Designer Vera Wang Looks Stunning in Swimsuit Photoshoot

Ok, I know this one is already viral online at the moment but I still want to post and give my opinion.

Vera Wang looks hot and young. At the age of 62, she still look slender, fit, and healthy! I hope this is not photoshopped much! Well, she's not actually promoting her fitness or diet regimen, it is an article about her new home she purchased recently at LA, that she called "a yin to my New York yang".

I think she did remarkably good on this shoot wherein she's wearing a black swimsuit by Eres with an Alexander Wang corset.

Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture Spring 2012

Giorgio Armani Privé Haute Couture Spring 2012 for Paris Fashion Week. Check out the siren-like vision for Armani-Prive Spring 2012 Collection. Models looked like sea creatures as they emerged on the runway for the underwater theme. I am loving the messy hair and sea snake fabrics!
