What I wore at the PFW Holiday 2012

Philippine Fashion Week was set to light up on the runway once again. They have presented collections of the country's creative fashion designers, retailers, and fashion & lifestyle brands on its 20th season. Since, we are extremely busy with work for SIAMESE, we only attended the last day of the show (May 27, 2012) at the SMX Convention Center. All support to our clients - Happy Andrada and Rajo Laurel!

Here's what I wore for the last PFW day:

My New Novelina Hair Color

Summer is over and it's time to say goodbye to ombre hair! I was recently invited to visit Tritan Ventures Inc. head office and try their products. Tritan Ventures is the company that distributes Novelina hair colors that are formulated in Japan.

For those who do not know, Novelina Cosmetics Co. Ltd. was acquired by Tritan from its parent companies Schwarzkopf & Henkel KK and Yamahatsu Sangyo. 

Luckily, I discovered that Marilou Doma was also scheduled to go to their office. So we decided to take the adventure together! As soon as we arrived, Ms. Wella toured us inside and we were surprised that they have also ventured in other divisions - medical and aesthetics, salon and cosmetic, property development, and more.

Here, we tried their Novelina Professional Hair Color that gives hair with the high end look without the high end price!

Meet their in house stylist - Jas. She used Novelina Zeelke Cream Hair Color in Chestnut brown shade (5) on my hair. 

The product comes with an easy to use bottle applicator, coloring brush, ear covers, gloves, and conditioner.

Available colors are Natural Black, Asian Black, Dark Brown, Brown, Chestnut Brown, Golden Brown. Would you believe that this permanent hair color is only P150.00?

I am a Dream Girl ♥

Hello everyone! Want a cute, innocent makeup look? Dolling up is made easy and more affordable with  4U2 cosmetic's new line Dream Girl! 

 

Being a doll wouldn't be complete without cutey patootie cosmetics like these. I really love their new packaging!

Here's how I did it: First, start off with concealer to cover up blemishes. Then pick the right shade of face powder. I use 4U2 Dreamgirl Lovelight BB Powder with SPF 15 PA++ (P194.00). It gives a matte finish and controls oil too.

Wear eye makeup that will make your eyes look bigger. Asian dolls often have big, round eyes. Let's concentrate with the eyes. I use the lightest shade on 4U2 Dreamgirl Reflection Quatro Shadow (P194.00) on the creases that will help the eyes pop.

Here's the main secret: Circle lens, liquid eyeliner, false lashes, and top it off with a layer of 4U2 Dreamgirl Floy Joy Mascara in Jet Black (P194.00) makes the eyes bigger. Leave the bottom lashes bare.

Here's the result:

Add a little blush on your cheeks using 4U2 Dreamgirl Together Double Blush to give a gentle flush.  It comes with a compact soft brush. Remember, dont put too much!

I also concealed my lips to lighten it up before applying lipstick. A natural shade will give you the innocent doll look. I use 4U2 Dreamgirl Twist and Shout Full Color Lipstick 05. I love its long lasting power.

Finish it off with some gloss with a bit of shimmer for that pouty doll lips. Use 4U2 Dreamgirl Baby Love Lip Gloss.

DOPE MNL X DR MARTENS POPFEST 2012

Last week, we were invited by DOPE MNL for a media discussion at The Keg and talked about the upcoming event next week. DOPE MNL is a potent production with a keen ear cocked to all genres of local independent music. Having produced three gigs in the first month of its birth, DOPE MNL is seeking to expand its repertoire with the help of like-minded benefactors, reviving Meiday's legacy of keeping the local music scene fierce and free.

The Keg is located in Manila's premier hotspot, The Fort.

In collaboration with Dr. Martens Philippines, young firebrand production DOPE MNL is about to re-ignite the music scene with POPFEST: a music festival patterned after NYC Popfest but with Manila's madness, featuring the best and brightest of local talent. In the spirit of Meiday! Meiday!'s advocacy of keeping independent music financed for the bands, free for the crowd, and ferocious all around,
