Beyond Designs by Leo Almeria

Last Friday, we’ve visited the Furniture Exhibition at 3rd Level Home, Greenbelt 5. There was a talk of Designing for the Filipino Home with Idr. Leo Almeria, FPIID.

The discussion started with the topic – Psychological environment which injects character impression, the owner’s taste.

Interior design is all about shaping and conditioning of spaces.

The good thing about this designer is that he loves the Filipino interiors – the use of Abaca, tribal prints, wood materials and warm toned colors. I am sure the Balikbayans would love his designs!

His use of light in order to create an illusion of wide spaces is also good.

One good tip I’ve got from this talk was – do the interiors by phases to budget your money but make sure to follow your master plan.

The exhibit will run until December 16, 2001. Dont forget to drop by!

  1. Omg.. I've always really loved interior design. I wanted to pursue it as a career when I was in high school but I never had the confidence or creativity. Plus, I'm not very good with creating my own portfolios. I really love the ambience of some of the displays you took photos of. Ahhh~ makes me wanna go furniture shopping lol

  2. ah really? give it a try, it'll be fun! 😀 thank you!
