And I’m back to being a girl scout. Yes, I was a girl scout aid staff in high school. And Bengay used to be our best friend. Haha. I wont forget our camping at Laguna where we grilled sausages, do obstacle courses, where I just slept in the tent when others were having a wall climbing activity (lol I’m not really into sports), and our bonfire bonding of course!
Last rainy Saturday, we braved the weather for Camp Hang Ten bloggers’ challenge event at Il Terrazzo Mall. That’s the real scout, rain or shine! We had a free coaster ride from Megamall to Tomas Morato. Weee~ Fieldtrip! Here’s my seatmate who was also late-but-still-made-it-to-the-shuttle-ride: Ana!
Few minutes later, we arrived at the venue safely. Open sesame! Our camp counselor, Mikki Galang, led the way to Ariato Function Room.
Welcome to the great indoor! Since, we’d be transformed to Hang Ten campers for half a day and needed a lot of energy for the challenge, we filled our tummies with healthy snacks first. We had grapes, bananas, apples, sandwiches, and fruit juices.
We were asked to pick our sash with badges and I went to be in the RED TEAM (aka the competitive team) with Ana Gonzales, Kelly Medina and Team Leader Paul Chuapoco.
Some warm up first before the game:
The Camp Counselors discussed something about Camp Hang Ten and introduced the new Cotton Project.
“With Cotton Project, Hang Ten bids adieu to the rays of the summer sun and welcomes the refreshing change of weather with rack options for the bold and the adventurous.”
Here’s my lookbook take on romancing the great outdoors
Hang Ten bids adieu to the rays of the summer sun and welcomes the refreshing change of weather with rack options for the bold and the adventurous. The Cotton Project explores wardrobe dictations fit for braving the wind chills for the anticipated turn of the season. This new line introduces a mélange of updated looks from tops, jackets and layering essentials catering to the youthful demographic of fashion forward go-getters!
They explained the game and handed each of us our Survival Kits to keep us with the challenges. We have a map, towel, plasters, flashlight, compass, notepad, matchbox, and a sanitizer. Yikes, this is going to be tough! And so, we began!
Station 1: Accessories Making
Station 3: Takeshi’s Castle!
Station 2: Guess the Riddle
Station 4: Eating Contest
Station 5: Team Flag
Station 6: Styling Area
We’re the first team to finish. Stress lang for the other teams hoho! Here are our styled mannequins for the last challenge:

Unfortunately, Green Tea, I mean Green Team, was awarded with Best Styling at the Awarding Ceremony. But still, the Best Team award goes to the Red Team!

We had so much fun! Haha! Thank you Mikki and Camp Hang Ten for this experience. You just brought all of us back to high school!
