Blogging with Nokia Lumia 1020

Finally got my hands on Nokia Lumia 1020! As a Nokia user, I’m really happy to discover new features on this latest model. Honestly, I try to avoid smartphones as I always have a hard time touching the screen and typing text messages quickly. Well, the truth is.. it’s because of my long nails! Hahaha so I still opt for the qwerty phones. (Loser!) But this phone is an exemption. It’s yellow – my current favorite color. And I’ve heard raves about its camera quality which I can use for ootds and lookbook shots so I gave it a try. This smartphone is now just around Php 27,000 here in the Philippines.

The phone actually comes in black, yellow and white with a free Nokia Camera Grip (valued at Php 4,000 but not sold separately) which you can use for easier and more fun experience.

The camera grip has an easy trigger button and a tripod mount at the bottom. Aside from that, this accessory also has a battery supply which makes the phone life longer for about 4-5 hours.

The phone might be bulky and wide but for me it’s a good thing so I wont have a hard time touching small buttons and all. Also, I am quite familiar with Windows Phone 8 so it was easy for me to navigate the phone on first try.

One thing I really love about this smartphone is its AMAZING CAMERA FEATURE. Its Pureview camera has 41mp (7712 x 5360) sensor with optical image stabilization which gives clear and good resolution images, 6-lens Carl Zeiss optics, high resolution zoom 3x paired with a Nokia Pro Camera app where you can control camera settings such as exposure, ISO, white balance, and focus. This phone has 2 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory; 7 GB free SkyDrive cloud storage as well.

I even used this smatphone for my OOTD snaps. Click here to view my OOTD entry.

No blurry pics on low light subjects

Hate blurry concert pics? How about this? I have never captured concert photos as good as this with a camera phone. I am impressed with the quality even if you zoom in the subject!

It also has a basic camera app which works as a point and shoot camera. This mode produces only 5mp but sharper/clearer zoomed photos.

Also tried using the 1.2mp wide angle front camera for selfie haha

How about panoramic shots?

Recording at 1080p. These things are pretty amazing for a smartphone. I thought I was holding a regular digicam. Here’s an excerpt fro Alicia Keys concert singing If I Aint Got You:

And just last week, Nokia welcomed Instagram beta to Windows Phone Store so I had a great time playing with the phone and posting good quality selfies and food snaps on the app. I mainly used this smartphone for taking photos and videos (take note: concert videos) – which for all we know eats a lot of battery life. Surprisingly, this phone can last up to 2 days that also includes surfing the internet and scanning through IG posts.
This smartphone can double as a good digital camera that you can use for blogging, taking your cellphone photography experience to the next level. Imagine having a good phone and impressive camera in one. It’s easy to carry especially during events. Click here to view intimate event photos.

No need to compare camera quality with other smartphones that are currently available in the market. It’s obvious! Nokia Lumia 1020 is the hippest and the best. ๐Ÿ™‚
