I love wearing makeup. It helps me express myself easily and show my mood and my interior life but last month I took an experiment to go to work for a day without it.
Unlike others who would brave to do it by just going out for a while to do grocery or pickup something, I went out to work the whole day sans makeup. Wearing a pastel colored shirt and skirt then flats. Just as simple as that for a site ocular and photoshoot. I worked behind the lens anyway. Haha.
Wearing no makeup at all makes me feel free and true to myself. Makeup isn’t bad but I am encouraging women to go bare naked and say “I am beautiful with or without makeup.”
At first, I got shy when people I know see me with bare face. I can live without lipstick on but not without eyeliner. So I started one day to leave the house without eyeliner/mascara, the next day without foundation on (I have oily face so please allow me to use at least pressed powder!) and then I learned to push down makeup barriers, and eventually embrace and love myself.
