The Garden: An Anthology Book Launch at Istorya Studios

The Garden: An Anthology is the very first anthology published by Istorya Studios, and we, Siamese, are grateful to have worked with their team in bringing this book to life. OMG thank you for trusting us!

The official book launch was presented by Coreen Corsula, who opened the program with an introductory speech followed by a video presentation made by their wonderful team.

The collection features stories by a vibrant group of artists and storytellers: Bjorn Calleja, Kelly Ramos, Dione Kong, Apol Sta. Maria, Mel Casipit, Vien Valencia, Len-Len, Don Bryan Bunag, Gene Paul Martin, and Froilan Calayag.

Exploring the bookshop

Working on the book’s cover and layout was such a rewarding experience for me and Eton. My personal favorite is the back cover, which features artwork by Froilan Calayag. Now, book signing!

The book was officially launched and signed last April 12, 2025, during HALO-HALO (Hardin, Aklat, Lunan, Obra)Hardin served as the main program for the book launch, while Aklat featured “Sama-sama sa Santinakpan” and #Bookuwentuhan with Edgar Calabia Samar, in coordination with Adarna House.

Lunan and Obra programs will be part of my next blog posts. Something strange and scary happened to us on our way home after the event. We got lost and stranded. Paranoid kasi! I’ll share more soon. Ms. Marina was so worried at first, but eventually laughed and said, Gawan niyo ng zine ’yan, haha.

Is this becoming an annual meet-and-greet with Teri Cruz? We love her so much and we’re glad she’s part of this event. We first met her during “Hinto-Hinto sa Guiguinto”, a typewriter event at the same venue, where she came to show her support for the very first event by Ms. Marina and Sir Rodel. She was also our savior during our late night adventure in Bulacan haha!

Happy that this back-to-back-to-back event was a huge success! Jampacked and full of young energy! Congratulations to everyone involved! The book is still available for purchase in their website.

Istorya Studios has an art gallery, bookshop, and coffee shop. Drop by anytime! Admission is free. Open Tues–Fri, 11 AM–8 PM; Sat–Sun, 9 AM–8 PM. Located at 189 San Lorenzo Ruiz St., Rosaryville Subdivision, Brgy. Santa Cruz, Guiguinto, Bulacan.
