Tattoo Supports PNP’s Cybercime Advocacy Program Angel Net

Just my opinion. It’s good to have “some” control and stop unwanted bullying and crime, right? As the number of internet users increases, the number of cybercrime cases rises as well. I think securing and regulating the use of internet is needed but at the same time, citizen rights and freedom must be protected. One time, I had thought of big companies to seat down together and figure out a solution for this. And now, it’s slowly happening. Finally.
To prevent these modern day criminals, PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group in partnership with Globe Telecom held the Angel Net Summit last March 20, 2014 at Camp Crame, Quezon City, with the theme “Safeguarding Our Children From Internet Dangers”.
The forum was participated in by selected companies in the country, including Globe broadband Tattoo, sharing new knowledge and approaches that would highly contribute to the research and prevention of cybercrime especially among children. Expressing their commitment to this cause is Globe broadband brand Tattoo that shared the technology the brand carries to advocate cyberwellness.
Signing the covenant wall in support of cyberwellness were NTC Commissioner Gamaliel Cordoba, Anti-Cybercrime Group Director Police Senior Superintendent Gilbert Sosa and Tattoo Home Broadband Marketing Director Joseph Hans.
Angel Net is the Philippine National Polices’s (PNP) advocacy that ensures the protection of children against internet fraud, cyber stalking, cyber bullying and other internet related abuses. Led by Anti-Cybercrime Group Director Police Senior Superintendent Sosa, Angel Net has a 24/7 operation center and website that serves as a complaint center where people can report their cases.
How about you? What is your opinion about cybercrime law and this movement?
