Ice Flower

Most people would say that wearing white to someone else’s wedding is a no no. I say, it’s okay as long as it’s not a floor-length gown. The All-White fashion is trending and it looks good on just about everyone. So if you feel like wearing white on a wedding then go ahead. There are a lot of ways to wear it without looking bridal anyway.

As I have said, avoid a floor-length white gown especially if the bride is more traditional. Yes, that includes maxi casual dresses. On the wedding that I recently attended, the length is above the knee. It’s made of polyester but at least not lace, chiffon or tulle.

Dress from Miss Selfridge // Bag from Belladonna // Watch from XOXO
Shoes from MMF // Scarf from Giordano

Pile some accessories. Bring a printed scarf so that the whiteness of your dress is less apparent or wear gold jewelries just like what I did!

Eton wore white pants as well. Matchy matchy! Actually some male guests also wore white during the wedding. Are they excused in wearing white?

Every bride and every wedding is different so better if you read the situation first and decide what’s appropriate. In my opinion, it’s not just about white. Any color or style that would steal the focus from the bride is the huge no no. As a sign of respect, don’t be a scene stealer and reserve that to your own big event instead. ๐Ÿ™‚
