A lot of women unconsciously wear ill-fitting undergarments. I must admit that I sometimes do as well and then I’ll only realize in the middle of the day when I am already uncomfortable with them. Does this happen to you too? Well then, I’ve got good news for you. Wacoal invited beauty and fashion bloggers for a Perfect Fit Party and taught us how to determine the perfect fit. I’d be glad to share them with you.
I was really happy to attend this event as Ayumi Hamasaki (my jpop idol forever) endorsed the brand in Japan few years back. See the connection? I was so
babaw. Haha. The endorsement was exclusive for Japan though.
The party was held at their office in Makati. As we arrive, we were given 2 sheets of paper with a template and coloring materials for us to design our own bras. Look at my artwork – it’s so girly! I named my designs Paruru (blue) and Ayumi (pink).
Then, they measured us so they could get the correct sizes for underwear that would best fit us and possibly take home.
While waiting for others, the team offered snacks to us. we had club sandwiches, cupcakes from
Sweet Patti Cakes, and
C2 red tea drinks. I personally love the yellow (yellow!!!) cupcake with a surprise cookie inside!
Before we started, we had a game exercise so bloggers would get to know each other better. Sad to say, our team lost the game! Hahaha.
Then Wacoal team had a presentation of how the body changes as we age. Our body tissues sag as fat begins to accumulate as we grow older which leads to drooping of breast. Weight gain and loss can also happen so every year our body shape changes. It’s a natural and inevitable process that happens to all but Wacoal finds a way to make us feel comfortable and confident as our body changes by offering undergarments with the right support. They even had intensive research on different Japanese women body measurements to create the perfect fitting undergarments.
Some tips when choosing the perfect fit:
Don’t neglect the fitting process.
Fit the bra and move around it
Don’t go to stores that refuses fittings
Try 2 to 3 items instead of just one
Bring along the clothes that you want to wear over your new undergarments
Size is important. You need to know your size to get the perfect fit but keep in mind that not all bra designs are the same so fitting is crucial. Also, bras made for 20’s are designed and constructed differently for those in teenage years and 40’s.
They also taught us the proper ways of fitting a bra.
Then, we submitted our bra designs and exchanged them for these goodies from other event sponsors – Droplets of Nature, Goody, Mir & Ryvi, Zenutrients and C2!
Another one is from Pevonia, a Swiss brand that utilize highly advanced technology to create the finest skincare products. They have extensive selection in spa treatments to address your every skin concern. Here in the Philippines, you can find their products in spas and hotels such as The Spa, Suriya Spa, and Marriot Hotel. Also, celebrities like Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Will Smith showed support to the brand because of its excellent quality. Everyone in the event took home a sample of their product for us to review and try. Yay!
Wacoal team, then, handed us boxes containing undergarments in our sizes to fit. Because of this, I was able to get my correct size and I was happy to take home 3 perfect fitting pieces from them!
I realized that wearing the right intimate apparel and investing in good ones are very important as they prevent early sagging of breasts and gives a better silhouette of our body which provide comfort and boost our self confidence. I hope you have learned something from this post!
