Azumi Boutique Hotel Weekend Staycation

Went to the South last week for a little break from work. Me and Eton decided to spend our weekend at Azumi Boutique Hotel in Alabang. Azumi is a japanese word which means ‘safe residences’. Safe, Japanese, we both thought the hotel would show hints of Japanese culture – but no. We were surprised when we arrived at the hotel. It was all chic and stylish! I’m loving the Parisian feel! Perfect for young travelers and small families who are looking for a modern and convenient accommodation.

Their receptionists were all friendly and very accommodating. One of them is Kathleen, who prepared everything for us smoothly at the front desk. It was a Saturday afternoon but the waiting time was just around 5 minutes. How quick was that?

Say hello to Room 517!

The room that was prepared for us was really nice. It’s the garden room (Php7,000). Complete with a mini refrigerator, cable television, safety deposit box, telephone, wifi, bathroom supplies and a cool terrace! All rooms by the way have balconies but the garden room has a huge one.

Beside the queen sized bed is a chic sofa bed with orange pillows. There’s a huge mirror by the bed too which creates an illusion of more space.

The bathroom is very clean and complete with towels and toiletries.

The bathroom door has a dual purpose – it also acts as the shower door. It saves space and while one is taking a shower, other people in the room will be able to use the toilet. You might encounter some problems with this but personally, I think it’s a great idea. Plus, the door wipes out the water spills on the floor making the room clean at the time.

During our stay, we also toured around the hotel. The ground floor houses the Romulo cafe on the left and Nail Spa on the right. I like how they were designed and decorated.

They also have a bar beside Romulo Cafe too.

The Nail Spa is peaceful in the afternoon. If you want to relax, this is the perfect spot.

Also, we checked the roof deck where the Infinity Lap Pool is located. The view was amazing at night!

It’s the highlight of our stay and good thing the weather cooperated. It was a little gloomy but the 360-degree view of Alabang Skyline is still beautiful. There were a lot of restrictions but if you’re in the right state of mind, you would know the do’s and don’ts without having to ask a lifeguard. Anyway, the receptionist at the lobby would ask you to sign a waiver regarding the use of their infinity pool and balconies upon checking in.

Also at the roof deck is their function room which you could use for parties, casual meetings, or events.

We got free breakfast at Romulo Cafe the next day. The buffet starts at 7 and ends at 10 in the morning. Their food was okay but I think I needed some more sugar so we ordered an additional sansrival cake! Hohoho it was the best. 🙂

Now, where to eat? The hotel is just a walking distance to Molito mall and Alabang Town Center but Azumi Boutique Hotel also offers a free van service to this malls.
Another great experience in the South! Room rate starts at Php3,000 (standard room). That’s a great deal, right? The entire hotel is very chic, relaxing and cozy. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back with some of our friends. 🙂
