Strawberry Picking!

Our gang went to La Trinidad, Benguet to see its vast strawberry farms. Strawberries! I was so excited! I actually wanted to fill a buck but it was not the right season for picking strawberries yet so we just entered the farm to take photos around.
Trying my best to avoid stepping on strawberry plants!

Aside from strawberries, there’s lettuce in between as well. I want a salad!
Since the strawberries at the farm were still small, we just bought boxes at the market! Hahaha.
One must not leave the farm without trying the special strawberry ice cream! It tastes sooo good. Promise! (with matching Disney font)
We then had lunch at Cafe by the Ruins. It’s a popular restaurant in Baguio probably because of its forest-ish ambiance. Food was not really impressive but I would definitely go back here once more for that quiet solitude.

Guess which one is mine…

Nothing special with the dish actually. Good thing, there’s Pavlova to save the day!

After lunch, we figured we had a bit of an extra time so we went to Tam-Awan Village to explore the woods! It is a reconstructed Cordillera village showcasing traditional Ifugao Huts, interesting artworks by local artists and culture from Baguio.
Surprising discovery here were Ifugao huts for rent, wi-fi, and cctv around the area.

Here’s Eton pausing and posing for a quick camera shot

It was an amazing view at the top! The trip involved a lot of climbing but still worth it. I thought our Baguio trip wouldn’t be complete without visiting this place. A village that preserves the heritage, art, and culture of the Cordillera people.
Happy Christmas!
