It was a rainy long weekend because of the typhoons that hit the country. I hope you’re all safe and had a long meaningful weekend. Because of the heavy rains and cool dry air, you might have noticed your skin to become more dehydrated that usual. This is something that we should pay attention to as the hectic Christmas season approaches. November is dubbed as National Healthy Skin Month and it is indeed a perfect time to celebrate and give it the attention it deserves.
So recently, I have received a FIRST for women skincare set by First Skincare PH. This set includes a Skin Brightening Soap, Skin Balancing Toner, Skin R&R Serum, Skin Radiance Day Emulsion, Skin Reboot Night Gel Creme, Skin Nourishing Hand And Body Lotion, First Bamboo Vanity Case (Round) and First Cork & Canvas Bag.
It’s my first time to see and use these products. FIRST Skin Brightening Soap for women
This soap was created using sustainable, plant-based ingredients from the East combined with advanced skincare technology from the West. It makes use of Philippine virgin coconut oil that naturally cleanses, moisturizes and rejuvenates the skin, fortified with Swiss-made all-natural antioxidant system that helps minimize damage caused by aging. The soap lathers well and gives a moisturized but not oily feel after every bath. I still need to use a lotion for softer and healthier skin though since my skin it a bit dry recently than usual. It has a very light, fresh and herb-like scent which gives a refreshing feeling after use.
Its Pumpkin Seed Extract (PSE), a sophisticated water system, is said to even out skin tone while keeping cells clean and healthy. I haven’t seen any significant brightening effect yet though.
FIRST Skin Balancing Toner for women
Next is FIRST Skin Balancing Toner for women (120ml) with PSE Antioxidant System. The cap has a sticker seal but I noticed that whenever you tilt the bottle to get the liquid out, the product seeps through the bamboo cap.
Not of a big deal because I totally love the product. In fact, I use it not only on my face but also on my UA, elbows and knees. No dry or stinging because it has no alcohol content. It’s also paraben-free, pthalate-free, sulfate-free and toxic-free!

FIRST Skin R&R Serum for women
After toner, I apply FIRST Skin R&R Serum for women (15ml). It is rich in Vitamin C that helps in producing the natural collagen protein in the skin making it firmer and healthier-looking. Unlike other usual serums that I have used that are greasy or sticky when applied, this one has a water-like texture so it’s easy to apply on skin even on day time.

FIRST Skin Radiance Day Emulsion and FIRST Skin Reboot Night Gel Creme
Another favorite part of this skincare routine is when I apply the Skin Radiance Day Emulsion and Skin Reboot Night Gel Creme. Super nice packaging. Its bamboo vanity case is something that I can definitely reuse for as a reading glass holder.
These two remind me of those exclusive products that I buy from my dermatologist. They’re both cold on skin when applied. FIRST Skin Radiance Day Emulsion is a lightweight anti-aging day cream with UV filters. It is said to smoothen skin and strengthen moisture barrier. At first, I thought these are day and night eye creams because it is placed in a eye-cream-like jars but I am so happy to learn that it is essentially for the whole face. Now I wish it comes in a bigger tub so I don’t have to limit myself on a pea-sized amount just so I have enough for the whole month!
At this point, I am already dizzy with the ingredients so just take a look at the back of the bottles for your reference. Again, these products are paraben-free, pthalate-free, sulfate-free and toxic-free but some people may still be allergic to certain natural ingredients so it is best to read the label first before testing on your skin. FIRST Skin Reboot Night Gel Creme is perfect before bedtime as it really soothes, calms and regenerates stressed and dehydrated skin during sleeping hours, resulting in a fresh, dewy complexion. I use contact lenses every day and I could really feel the different before and after application around the eye area. It can relief strained muscles around my eyes and it helps me relax and sleep easily at night.
FIRST Skin Nourishing Hand & Body Lotion for women
For the past week, I end my routine with FIRST Skin Nourishing Hand & Body Lotion for women (250ml). This lotion rejuvenates and purifies the skin, seals in moisture, improves texture and smoothens. If you need moisturizer for hands and feet but you don’t like the warm, thick feeling, then this product is for you. It says that it is for your hands and feet but you can also apply this to your legs, knees, elbows and other dry/rough areas. Two pumps of this lotion is enough for the whole body.
